Overall impression
Vermut Bodegas Loreto is the vermouth reference of SAT Virgen de Loreto (Socuéllamos, Ciudad Real), a cooperative founded in 1980 with more than 180 members and 2,000 hectares of vineyard. Alongside mistelas and Monteño wines, the vermouth embodies the Manchego bar profile: affordable, savoury and widely drunk in the region. 87 points in Guía Peñín del Vermut.
Nose and palate
Mahogany colour. Aroma of frosted fruit, toasted caramel, sweet spice and rancio — classic Castilian cooperative vermouth profile. Savoury, sweet palate, direct and comforting.
How to serve it
Cold as aperitif with preserves and simple tapas; Manchego table vermouth.
Production context
Made in Socuéllamos (C/ San Antón 4) with La Mancha grape. 15.5% vol., 75 cl. Sold at the bodega shop. Part of a portfolio that includes young Monteño wines and Casa Leandro crianzas.
