Overall impression

Forzudo Blanco is the clear, modern expression of Bierzo vermouth, made by Forzudo S.L. at the Cooperativa de Camponaraya. It combines Bierzo Doña Blanca with local reineta apple and seventeen botanicals — more complex than the red's twelve — for a semidry, fruity, summery profile. It shares the monastic-Pauline spirit of the original Villafranca recipe, but with a fresher, more aperitif-oriented direction. For Vermutpedia, Forzudo Blanco is the white pole of a Bierzo vermouth range that projects Leonese viticulture into the premium artisan segment: territorial grapes, local fruit and herbal complexity in a litre format designed for terrace and gastronomy.

Nose and palate

Straw yellow in the glass. Citrus and fruity nose with apple and scrubland; on the palate it is creamy, with bitter apple, candied lemon and aromatic herbs. Bitter-sweet balance drier than Forzudo Rojo, maintaining the house's spiced identity. The reineta apple brings Bierzo territorial character; seventeen botanicals add layers without the density of the red's darker spice profile. A white vermouth for warm-weather aperitif and light mixed drinks.

How to serve it

Very cold with ice on the terrace or as aperitif before light Bierzo cuisine. Also works in spritz and mixed drinks where reineta apple brings freshness without cloying. Temperature around 4–8 °C; wide glass with ice and optional citrus twist. Pairs with local cheeses, nuts and simple Leonese tapas. For Vermutpedia, Forzudo Blanco shines in cold solo service rather than heavy cocktail construction.

Production context

Made in Camponaraya with Doña Blanca from the cooperative and local reineta apple. 15% vol., 1 L format. Second reference in the Forzudo range alongside the red; both project Bierzo viticulture into the premium artisan Castilian-Leonese vermouth segment. Sheet verifiable at forzudo.es.
