Vermut Sikarra is the red vermouth of Licorera de la Segarra (Cervera, Lleida), the Carbonell family's jewel according to the house itself: it crowns three generations of wines and liqueurs in the capital of La Segarra, from Vins i Licors Carbonell (1928) to the artisan ratafia and Segarra-herb aromas begun in 1956. The name recalls the Iberian mint of Śikaŕa / Sikarra, the toponymic origin of the district. Also sold as Sikarra Reserva and as Vermut negre Sikarra Km0 in Catalan retail. Fortified white-wine base, caramelised and sweetened with cane sugar; 16% vol., usual 1 L format. Indicative price about €11–12 per litre. For Vermutpedia, it represents Lleida dryland territorial vermouth: Cervera family tradition, Km0 vocation and sweet litre profile for Catalan aperitivo.

How to serve it

Very cold, with ice and an orange or lemon slice, in the Catalan bar-and-table vermuteo line. The litre format invites shared drinking. Pairs with olives, nuts, dryland cured meats and simple tapas. Also in soft soda mixes when a sweet red at contained ABV (16% vol.) is sought.

Production context

Licorera de la Segarra SL, C/ President Companys 1, 25200 Cervera (Lleida). Per retail labelling: white wine, sulphites, potassium sorbate, ethanol, caramel E-150 and refined white cane sugar; 16% vol., 1 L. Sugars about 14.3 g/100 ml on the Bonpreu Esclat sheet (sweet profile). Made in the house tradition of macerates inspired by native Segarra vegetation. Distinct from the same licorera's ratafias and Aromes digestifs. For Vermutpedia, Vermut Sikarra synthesises Cervera's sweet Km0 red: Carbonell family, 16% vol., litre bottle and Iberian toponymic root verifiable at licoreradelasegarra.cat and Catalan retail channels.
