Overall impression

Cisa Blanco is the great surprise of the Cisa range: a sweet, creamy, highly aromatic white vermouth that in 2020 won the Vinari Gold Award for Best Vermouth for Cocktails at the Premis Vinari dels Vermuts Catalans, Catalonia's reference competition according to GuiaVermut. For Vermutpedia, it represents one of the most compelling Catalan white vermouths in cocktail use — a reference that rewards bartenders seeking sweetness, vanilla and botanical depth without losing Mediterranean identity.

Nose and palate

It starts from Penedès wines with predominance of Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada, plus the Piera family's traditional botanical formula dating from 1880. The botanical profile includes wormwood, gentian and cinnamon, but sweet botanicals and vanilla take centre stage, softening herbal bitterness. Golden yellow colour; intense nose with cinnamon and an accessible sweet-floral register. On the palate it is sweet and creamy, vanilla in the foreground, light sensation and clean finish — structured enough for cocktails yet gentle enough for solo aperitivo.

How to serve it

Serve very cold with ice and orange peel, or as a base for white aperitivo cocktails. Versatility endorsed by the Vinari cocktail prize makes it a natural choice for white Negroni variations, spritz and author drinks where a sweet, aromatic white modifier is needed rather than a dry Martini vermouth.

Production context

Made in El Masnou (Barcelona) by Cisa, a house founded in 1880. Same Penedès wine base as the red; family botanical formula with emphasis on sweet notes and vanilla. 15% vol., 75 cl. More than five generations of uninterrupted vermouth continuity on the Maresme coast.
