Vermouth Crotta Rosso

Bodega Familia Crotta

San Martín , Argentina

Overall impression

Vermouth Crotta Rosso is the vermouth of Bodega Familia Crotta (Mendoza, since 1933), relaunched from an original 1951 recipe by founder José Eduardo Crotta. According to Argentine specialist press, it is a Torino-style vermouth made from estate Moscatel and Pedro Giménez grapes from San Martín (Central Mendoza Valley), macerated with herbs and aged in French oak barrels after more than eighteen months of development to recover the family profile. The label updates the 1951 design. For Vermutpedia, it represents the historic Mendoza vermouth of a century-old winery of Italian origin, with Torinese imprint and local white-wine base.
