Overall impression

Marnuthem Rosé 2024 is the rosé sibling of the Bell-lloc d'Urgell line, made with Garnacha from D.O. Costers del Segre — Carviresa of Tàrrega — and the same artisan method as the Blanc: botanical maceration 2–3 months, blending with wine and sugar, two months integration rest. According to marnuthem.com, Marnuthem is the «perfect marriage of wine and botanicals» with ambition to surprise from Pla d'Urgell. 16% vol., 75 cl., semisweet profile. Rosé 2024 won gold in semisweet category at World Vermouth Awards 2024; Rosé 2025, gold in the same category in 2025. For Vermutpedia, it represents artisan vintage Catalan rosé vermouth with red fruit, higher ABV than the white and summery aperitif vocation without losing Marc Cuenca and Núria Sánchez's «respect for the wine» philosophy.

Nose and palate

Light rosé tone. Fruity nose — forest fruit, redcurrant — with herbs and flower; in production, cherry, ripe strawberry, orange peel and grapefruit are incorporated to reinforce colour and fruity sweetness according to process descriptions. On the palate, fresher and slightly more intense than the Blanc: medium sweetness, herbal bitterness in the finish, 16% vol. bringing structure without excessive alcoholic heat. Garnacha from Tàrrega brings red fruit and softness; botanicals maintain the vermouth skeleton. Profile «that goes down very well», delicate and summery. Compared with commercial rosé vermouths, Marnuthem is more wine-driven and less artificial; against the Blanc, juicier and less aniseed. Clean finish, integrated after post-blend rest.

How to serve it

Summer aperitif with ice and orange; also in Rosita-style mixed drinks or spritz with soft bitter, where red fruit and extra ABV support mixers without losing identity. Marnuthem describes it as perfect for a hot day: serve very cold in balloon glass or wide tumbler. Pairs with salads, carpaccios, fresh cheeses and light Mediterranean cuisine. Works in spritz with soda or pink tonic when fruity profile with contained bitterness is sought. Less oriented to classic Martini than the Blanc; more versatile in social aperitifs. Orange or strawberry garnish enhances citrus and fruit without masking the Garnacha.

Production context

Process identical to Blanc: botanical maceration 2–3 months in alcohol; blend with Garnacha and sugar; 2 months rest; additional fruit botanicals (cherry, strawberry, citrus) for rosé profile. Garnacha base D.O. Costers del Segre (Carviresa, Tàrrega); 16% vol., 75 cl. Marnuthem project since 2018; World Vermouth Awards gold semisweet 2024–2025. Range: Blanc, Rosé, bitter liqueur, exclusive lots at marnuthem.com. For Vermutpedia, Marnuthem Rosé 2024 synthesises artisan vintage rosé vermouth from Lleida: semisweet, Garnacha, fruit and botanicals, no ageing.
