Nordés Vermouth Blanco is Atlantic Galician Spirits' (Grupo Osborne) bet to break with the conventions of traditional vermouth. The vermouth line was born as Nordesía and the brand later unified its identity under Nordés, the same umbrella as the iconic Galician gin; both names designate the same product, makers and recipe. According to osborne.es and nordesgin.com, it is built on Airén, Verdejo and Chardonnay white grapes and Galician botanical extracts shared with Nordés gin — sage, samphire, bay, eucalyptus, mint and lemon verbena — made «amodiño» under Marcos Alguacil, Spanish Winemaker of the Year 2023 according to International Wine Challenge. The house presents it as «la Maxia Pura»: soft and aromatic like the nordés wind, with a genuinely Atlantic herbaceous-saline profile. White Sargadelos-inspired bottle; 15% vol., 1 litre. Sibling of Rojo in the two-reference range.

How to serve it

Osborne recommends the official perfect serve: wide on-the-rocks glass, two or three large ice cubes, stir, 70 ml of Nordés white vermouth and a skewer with white grape to enhance the vinous essence. Between 6 and 10 °C; also with lemon and soda. Pairs with Cinco Jotas Paleta and good company according to the shop sheet. Ideal with seafood, escabeches and Galician preserves in white spritz or Atlantic aperitif.

Production context

Atlantic Galician Spirits makes Nordés Vermouth Blanco with Airén, Verdejo and Chardonnay and Galician botanicals from the Nordés gin tradition. Made «amodiño» by Marcos Alguacil; 15% vol., 1 litre in the official shop. No declared barrel ageing. The Nordés vermouth range comprises only Blanco and Rojo; the former Nordesía name was absorbed into this unified commercial identity. Contains sulphites. Available through Osborne and nordesgin.com.
