Nordés Vermouth Rojo is the Atlantic red vermouth of Atlantic Galician Spirits (Grupo Osborne). The line was born as Nordesía — Atlantic Galician vermouth — and the brand later unified its identity under Nordés to link it directly to its star gin; both names designate the same vermouth, makers and recipe. According to osborne.es and nordesgin.com, it is made «amodiño» under Marcos Alguacil, Spanish Winemaker of the Year 2023 according to International Wine Challenge, from Tempranillo, Cabernet and Shiraz red grapes and Galician botanical extracts shared with Nordés gin — sage, lemon verbena, bay, eucalyptus, samphire and mint. The house presents it as «la Maxia Pura»: soft and aromatic like the nordés wind, with natural cherry colour and a profile distinct from conventional reds. White Sargadelos-inspired bottle; 15% vol., 1 litre. Pairs with Nordés Vermouth Blanco in the sole two-reference range.

How to serve it

Osborne recommends the official perfect serve: wide on-the-rocks glass, two or three large ice cubes, stir to chill, 70 ml of Nordés Vermouth Rojo and a skewer with red grape to reinforce the vinous character. Between 6 and 10 °C. Pairs with Cinco Jotas Jamón and good company according to the shop sheet. Works in red spritz, Atlantic mixed drinks and salty aperitifs with Iberian charcuterie; better suited to cold aperitif than aggressive Negroni.

Production context

Atlantic Galician Spirits makes Nordés Vermouth Rojo within the Osborne ecosystem with Tempranillo, Cabernet and Shiraz and Galician botanicals from the Nordés gin tradition. Made «amodiño» by Marcos Alguacil; 15% vol., 1 litre in the official shop. No declared barrel ageing. The range comprises only Rojo and Blanco under the Nordés brand; the Nordesía name was absorbed into this unified identity. Contains sulphites. Available through Osborne and nordesgin.com.
