How we calculate the Vermutpedia Score →

Overall impression

Vermut Barrica Ordoki is the premium reference of Ordoki (Sartaguda, Navarra): red vermouth aged for more than a year and a half in oak barrel after maceration with herbs and aromatic plants on selected wine. The company, rooted in Baztan tradition since 1995, makes artisan liqueurs with prolonged macerations at ambient temperature. Gold International Spirits Challenge 2022.

Nose and palate

Toasted, vanilla and spice notes from the wood; silky texture with sweet-bitter balance. Natural character — no aggressive filtration — and long finish. Deeper and more structured than the 1-litre Ordoki Vermut Rojo.

How to serve it

Chilled with ice; premium Navarrese aperitif or light digestif after a meal.

Production context

Made with a good base wine and botanical maceration; more than 18 months in oak. 15% vol., 75 cl. Superior reference to the 1 L Vermut Rojo from the same brand in Sartaguda.
