Vermut Rojo Delgado is the flagship vermouth of Bodegas Delgado in Puente Genil: 100% Pedro Ximénez macerated with aromatic herbs and spices — wormwood and mugwort among them — and aged one year in American oak barrels. Winemaker José Luis Delgado oversees limited production. An Andalusian reference with wood ageing that lends depth to the house's semisweet Montilla profile, standing apart from Delgado's unaged white sibling.

Nose and palate

Mahogany with reddish tones. The nose is intense with aromatic herbs and spice. On the palate it is savoury and balanced, closing with a lightly bitter finish that completes the typical sweet-bitter arc of the house red vermouth.

How to serve it

Served cold or over ice with a slice of orange and anchovy-stuffed olives. If you want to dial back sweetness, the winery suggests a splash of soda water — the classic Cordoban vermouth ritual at aperitivo hour. Ideal shared at table with conservas and Andalusian nibbles.
