Bianco / white

Bianco or white vermouth is a pale, aromatic style that is generally sweet or medium-sweet. It often highlights floral, citrus, vanilla and soft spice notes.

Its colour does not mean it is dry: many whites contain more sugar than a dry. The guide to red, white and dry vermouth explains how to tell them apart by taste and service.

It is enjoyed chilled, with ice and a citrus touch, or in delicate cocktails. To choose a bottle, see the best white vermouths.
