Vermouth di Torino

Vermouth di Torino is a protected Italian geographical indication for vermouth made in Piedmont according to specific requirements.

The specification regulates origin, production and characteristics, and recognises categories of colour and sweetness. The Turin tradition was decisive in the history of vermouth.

The geographical mention is not simply equivalent to “Italian style”: it requires meeting the rules. See the Vermouth di Torino guide and a historic reference such as Carpano Antica Formula.
