Vermuteo

Vermuteo is the custom of gathering to drink vermouth and something to nibble before a meal, especially at midday.

It is a social practice rather than a rigid protocol: it can happen in a bar, at home or on a route. Olives, conservas, pickles and crisps are classic accompaniments for their salty and acid contrast.

The history of this custom is covered in vermuteo and aperitif culture. To prepare the glass, see how to drink vermouth, with ice, citrus or soda siphon.
