Overall impression

4 Xavos Vermut Blanco complements the Valencian range of Bodegas Alonso Sanz with a brighter, more citrus-driven profile than the Garnacha red. Made from a base of white wine from native grapes of the Aielo de Malferit vineyards, macerated with aromatic herbs and Mediterranean botanicals according to the same family philosophy behind the 4 Xavos project.

Nose and palate

Citrus botanicals (orange, lemon) dominate, with a final touch of cinnamon and vanilla according to Beals and the official shop. The nose shows citrus aromas, Mediterranean herbs and spice. On the palate, a sweet entry, fleshy and balanced mid-palate, with a slightly bitter, persistent finish. The same deep, generous structure as the red, but in a fresher, more aromatic register.

How to serve it

Served cold, neat or over ice. Pairs with starters, charcuterie and the Valencian aperitivo.

Production context

Made in Aielo de Malferit (Valencia). Base white wine from native varieties (Merseguera, Macabeo, Moscatel and others from the winery's vineyard project). Mediterranean botanical maceration with a citrus emphasis. 15% vol., 75 cl.
