Vermouth Benito Escudero is the artisan Garnacha vermouth from Bodegas Familia Escudero in Grávalos (La Rioja), made as a tribute to Benito Escudero — who was already producing vermouth at the family winery from the 1950s — and marketed today by his heirs alongside the Gran Reserva variant. According to the official sheet, it is based on late-harvest Garnacha to concentrate the grape's natural sugars; it revives the grandfather's recipe with more than twenty-five native botanicals from the Moncayo surroundings (thyme, rosemary, etc.). 15% vol., 75 cl. For Vermutpedia, it documents the Rioja vermouth line of the Escudero house, distinct from the Conde de Artoiz range (Navarra): mountain tradition, overripe fruit sweetness and a botanical mountain profile.
