Overall impression

Bocamanga Enebro is the highest reference of Pista Corta Bodegas in Guía Peñín (92 points, Excellent category) and «the daring one» on the house card: dry, herbal and full of character. Born in Becerril de la Sierra on 100% Tempranillo as an evolution of classic red — drier and fuller — with a distinctive twist: juniper-berry distillate from the copper still, blended with twelve botanicals and matured in oak.

Nose and palate

Intense mahogany colour, medium-high depth. Nose of juniper, liquorice, wood and dried fruit; Peñín adds aromatic coffee, toasted caramel and mountain herbs. Pleasant, drying palate with complex background where ex-rum American oak intertwines with spice and resin. Powerful, balsamic and savoury.

How to serve it

With ice and lemon peel, without bubbles, to appreciate the botanicals. Pairs with aged cheeses, charcuterie and quality preserves. Signature cocktail Dry Enebro: 2/3 Enebro + 1/3 Gin Rein Bradley, short glass, ice and olive.

Production context

100% Tempranillo base; maceration with twelve botanicals; blended with juniper distillate and ageing in American oak barrels that previously aged rum. 15% vol., 75 cl.
