How we calculate the Vermutpedia Score →

Overall impression

Bocamanga Mixto bottles a Mediterranean custom — serving red and white vermouth in the same glass — at the exact proportion Pista Corta considers optimal: 50% Vermut Rojo Barrica and 50% Blanco («the classic» on the official card). The Madrid bodega pioneered this pre-blended formula. Excellent in Guía Peñín with 90 points; golden, gentle and the softest option in the family.

Nose and palate

Golden colour with mahogany reflections. Herbal nose of sarsaparilla, fig, cinnamon and a curry-like spice echo. Sweet without cloying, enveloping and light; clean, elegant final bitterness. Joins barrel Tempranillo depth with Airén freshness.

How to serve it

Very cold with ice and orange or lemon; long drink with soda or lime. Pairs with gildas, bravas and tortilla. Signature Vermuijito: 1/3 Mixto, 1/3 Verdejo, 1/3 soda, ice, lime and mint.

Production context

Made in Becerril de la Sierra (Madrid) from the 50/50 blend of Rojo Barrica (barrel Tempranillo) and Blanco (Airén); twelve botanicals. 15% vol., 75 cl, swing-top.
