Overall impression

Cabecita Loca Vermouth Premium Rojo is the flagship of Cabecita Loca Slow Drinks in Barbastro (Somontano, Huesca). Artisan-made in traditional style on quality white wine, grape must and vinous alcohol, with more than twenty natural extracts of herbs, roots, flowers, spices and fruits. The presence of Artemisia absinthium (wormwood) stands out. Gold medal 95 points and Best Vermouth Trophy at International Wine Challenge 2022 (London).

Nose and palate

Brilliant amber. Intense nose: aromatic herbs, wormwood, cinchona, cinnamon, warm spices, candied citrus and almond. The must brings voluminous, fruity mid-palate; on the palate it is intense, balanced and very long, with powerful retronasal and predominant bitterness in the aftertaste.

How to serve it

Between 8 and 10 °C, alone over ice with an orange twist, or with olives, seafood and smoked foods. Also available in 3-litre bag-in-tube for hospitality.

Production context

17% vol., 75 cl bottle with Vinolok glass closure. Certified Artesanía Alimentaria de Aragón. Also Gran Gold African International Wine and Spirits Competition 2020 and best Spanish red vermouth at IWSC 2019. Complements Cabecita Loca Reserva Blanco within the Aragonese Slow Drinks range.
