Sanlúcar de Barrameda
Overall impression
Vermut Goyesco is the aperitif innovation of Bodega Delgado Zuleta — the oldest bodega in the Marco de Jerez, with documented origins since 1719 — that for the first time in the market combines the two great aperitif wines: manzanilla and vermouth. According to the official shop, it starts from a selection of manzanilla from the La Goya solera, emblem of the house, and macerates botanics and natural extracts inspired by the Sanlúcar de Barrameda environment: Guadalquivir estuary and Doñana National Park. Dry white vermouth at 15% vol., Bordeaux 75 cl bottle with cork stopper. Awards: 92 points Guía Peñín 2023, Best Vermouth Marco de Jerez Akatavino 2022, gold medal International Wine Awards 2023. For Vermutpedia, Goyesco defines Sanluqueño white vermouth: piercing, dry, with characteristic bitterness without excess, very distinct from traditional sweet red.

How to serve it
Delgado Zuleta presents it as the wine par excellence for aperitif: perfect with olives, pickles, lupins or dried fruit. The Manzanilla base balances fattier tapas —ham, cheeses— or saltier ones —mojama, anchovies. As it is made with a wine of proven quality like La Goya, the bodega also recommends tasting it alone, very cold, without ice that would dilute the flor character. Serve between 6 and 8 °C in a wine glass or low tumbler; an olive or anchovy completes the classic Sanluqueño pairing. Not vermouth for sweet Negroni: it shines in gildas, vinaigrettes and Atlantic aperitivo. For cocktails, it brings dryness and flor to Martini or Bamboo variations with dry profile.
Production context
Bodega Delgado Zuleta makes Vermut Goyesco in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz): white vermouth on manzanilla from the La Goya solera, maceration of botanics and natural extracts inspired by Doñana and Cádiz bay. 15% vol., 75 cl, Bordeaux bottle, cork stopper. The Goyesco range also includes Goyesco Ámbar on amontillado. Notable awards: 91 points CIVAS 2019, gold medal Premios Vinduero 2019, Commended Award IWC 2022. For Vermutpedia, it synthesises white vermouth on flor: La Goya manzanilla, dry profile, elegant bitterness and recovered Sanluqueña tradition. Sheet verifiable at delgadozuleta.com.
