Dulce & Kanalla Vermut Naranja
Overall impression
Dulce & Kanalla Vermut Naranja is the star innovation of Ladrón de Lunas (Cullera): the world's first orange vermouth according to the bodega and specialist press, macerated 30 days with Valencian Navelina orange peel after the botanical base. Three gold medals International Wine & Spirits Awards according to Hello Valencia. Gateway vermouth for new consumers thanks to its accessible citrus profile — a Mediterranean bet that extends the Dulce & Kanalla range beyond classic red and white into territory-defining orange maceration.
Nose and palate
Dark honey caramel colour. Fruity citrus aroma with balsamic and spice notes. Soft palate, light passage; orange peel and citrus fruit with wormwood and herbs; vanilla and cinnamon in balance; elegant finish. Citrus maceration softens wormwood bitterness compared with the red — a profile that invites newcomers while retaining artisan structure. The Navelina peel from Cullera and the comarca anchors the vermouth in Valencian citrus terroir.
How to serve it
Cold, on its own or with ice; also in spritz and aperitif cocktails. Ideal for those seeking vermouth with Mediterranean personality but a more citrus than herbal profile. The bodega's innovation logic positions Naranja as an accessible entry point: serve very cold with ice or in light spritz where orange peel and Navelina identity can shine without the density of the red.
Production context
Made in Cullera (Valencia). White vermouth base with botanics (30 days) + 30 days maceration with Navelina peel + 30 days rest and final filtration. 15% vol., 75 cl. Oranges from Cullera and the comarca. Three IWSA gold medals according to Hello Valencia. For Vermutpedia, Naranja synthesises Valencian innovative vermouth: world's first orange vermouth claim, Navelina peel and artisan maceration documented at ladrondelunas.es.
