Vermut Igarmi Cítrico

Bodegas Igarmi

Heras , España

Overall impression

Vermut Igarmi Cítrico is the premium, contemporary bet of Bodegas Igarmi (Heras, Cantabria) within a range that includes Solera, Blanco and Reserva. Sold in 75 cl at 15% vol., it targets current Cantabrian cocktail culture and aperitif: less unctuous than classic Solera, with balanced acidity and grapefruit and orange notes that distinguish it from the rounder house Blanco. Fourth vermouth reference from a family winery with tradition since 1890 — the Cantabrian citrus vermouth: aromatic, easy to drink and coherent with Igarmi's philosophy of sound wine base and careful herbal maceration.

Pending evaluation.

How to serve it

Very cold in a short glass with ice or in a spritz with soda, tonic or prosecco. Ideal for long drinks and mixed drinks needing less body than the house classic red: Americano twist, vermouth tonic with grapefruit or orange twist, or highball with soda and fresh herbs. At 6–8 °C. Pairs with preserves, candied citrus, olives and light tapas.

Production context

Bodegas Igarmi makes Vermut Cítrico in Heras (Cantabria), alongside Solera, Blanco, Reserva and Cítrico. Fourth-generation family firm since 1890, Cantabria's largest winery with 3,000 m² facilities and own delivery fleet. Cítrico: 75 cl, 15% vol., no declared barrel ageing; herb maceration and citrus profile on wine base. Launch oriented to contemporary Cantabrian aperitif and cocktail culture.
