Mon Dieu! Réserve is the pinnacle of the range that Álvaro and Javier Usarralde make in Alfaro under Châpeau Wines. It starts from Viura grape must infused with extracts of herbs, flowers, roots, spices and fruits, but time changes everything: five years in barrel transform an already recognised vermouth into a piece for contemplation. 93 points in Guía Peñín confirm its status among Spain's most highly rated vermouths.

Nose and palate

Intense aromas, with balsamic and aged notes that speak of long maturation. The balance between sweetness and bitterness is exceptional: depth, complexity and a sense of maturity that the Original, with its twelve months in wood, cannot reach. Generous entry, prolonged bitter finish and enveloping aftertaste.

How to serve it

Tasting glass, very cold and without garnishes that compete with the wood. Special occasions: after-dinner, pairing with chocolate or simply a vermouth to drink slowly, like an author fortified wine.

Production context

Base of Viura grape must infused with botanical extracts following ancestral winemaking techniques. After blending, it rests 60 months in barrel before bottling. 15% vol., 75 cl bottle. Magnum 2 L format also available.
