Overall impression

Vermutpedia is re-evaluating the Italian catalogue; this entry's Vermutpedia Score remains pending until the new tasting round is complete. Civico 10 is the Vermouth di Torino Rosso Superiore from Antica Distilleria Domenico Sibona (Piobesi d'Alba, Roero), holder of Piedmont distillation licence No. 1. The name refers to Via Roma 10, the historic address where this vermouth's original recipe was developed, recently refined with wine exclusively from Nebbiolo d'Alba D.O.C. Official house dossiers highlight Piedmontese artemisia, sweet and bitter orange, vanilla and gentian among herbs and spices. Dark graduated Sibona bottle with side notches indicating fill level. Gold medal at ISW (2021, 2023, 2024), Best Vermouth of the Year 2024 and awards at London Spirit Competition and Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.

How to serve it

Around 8 °C. Excellent neat, on ice or as an aperitif; the distillery proposes house cocktails such as Americano in Langa (Civico 10, Bitter, Uvedilanga, soda and citrus), Negroni Sbagliato D.O.C. (Civico 10, Altalanga sparkling and Bitter) and Via Roma Civico 10 (Civico 10 with tonic and orange). Also works in classic Americano, Negroni or Manhattan.

Production context

18% vol., 75 cl. Made, prepared and bottled to Sibona's exclusive recipe. Aged in stainless steel. The distillery's only red vermouth alongside Barolo Chinato. Distilleria Sibona — Via Castellero 5, Piobesi d'Alba (CN).
