Overall impression
Vermut LOA Rojo (Italian style) is the first author vermouth with 100% Jaén origin: born in Úbeda from the fusion of vermouth tradition and organic Picual olive grove — fruit, stem and leaf — which adds bitterness and Mediterranean character. On young, fruity, elegant Airén wine, the house applies minimal sugar and alcohol to achieve freshness without cloying. Awarded 90 Peñín points 2024, Gran Oro at Excellence Vermouth Awards Madrid 2024, gold at Vermuts Artesanos de España 2025, silver at VinEspaña 2025 and silver at CINVE Awards 2025.
Nose and palate
Clean, bright appearance, reddish brown. Nose of citrus, white fruit, wormwood, pepper, clove, lavender, cinnamon and olive with pleasant vegetal touch. Palate with sweet first impression and elegant passage that recovers the olfactory botanicals; bitter finish refreshes without breaking the balance. Fresh, fruity and gastronomic.
How to serve it
Between 6 and 8 °C with olive and orange twist. Pairs with aperitifs, pickles, pâtés, foie, Iberian charcuterie and cheeses.
Production context
Artisan production with selected wines and natural botanicals — citrus, juniper, spices and aromatic herbs — alongside maceration of fruit, stem and leaf from organic Picual. No barrel ageing; bets on the immediacy of the product. 15% vol., 75 cl. Range includes LOA Blanco. Degusta Jaén seal.
