Vermut Medusa Gran Reserva

Celler Manyé Fortuny

La Secuita , España

Overall impression

Vermut Medusa Gran Reserva is the ageing pinnacle of Celler Manyé Fortuny (La Secuita): 18 months in oak barrels with the grandfather's botanical formula kept intact according to VinsVidart. Premium reference in 75 cl bottle (~€19 RRP) against the litre format of the standard range.

Nose and palate

Soft entry that gains power on the palate according to VinsVidart: lightness of macerated plants followed by an explosion of ageing — spices, cocoa, coffee and candied fruit. Complex, evolving vermouth for palates seeking prolonged barrel expression in the Camp de Tarragona style.

How to serve it

Cold or slightly tempered; premium aperitivo or light digestif. A contemplative Tarragona vermouth for those who want wood depth in the glass.

Production context

Made in La Secuita (Tarragona). Camp wines + family-formula botanicals; 18 months in oak. 15% vol., 75 cl. Sepadu Distribució also markets «Gran Reserva Premium» at 15% in 75 cl.
