Vermut Medusa Reserva is the aged version of the classic Manyé Fortuny (La Secuita): same family formula with one year's rest in oak barrels at the family winery according to vermutmedusa.com and vermut.shop. Evolution of aromas and sweetness to optimal point before bottling.

Nose and palate

Flavours of candied fruit, spices, chocolate and coffee according to the winery. Vermouth rich in nuances and complex in detail; gentian present in the aftertaste according to La Vermu. More evolving, gastronomic profile than unaged Negre; «a vermouth that doesn't bite» according to local distributors.

How to serve it

Cold, solo or with ice; aged Tarragona aperitivo. Usual 1 L format in specialist channel. The middle step between everyday Negre and 18-month Gran Reserva.

Production context

Made in La Secuita (Camp de Tarragona). 12 months ageing in oak. 15% vol. Intermediate step between Medusa Negre and Gran Reserva (18 months).
