Vermouth de Jerez Rojo Mozárabe Xeranthia
Overall impression
Vermouth de Jerez Rojo Mozárabe Xeranthia is the vermouth of Artisan Xeranthia (Jerez, 2017): made exclusively with Jerez wines — Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez — and more than fifteen botanicals of Andalusian tradition (rosemary, thyme, coriander, artichoke). Best Vermouth in the World, World Drinks Awards 2025. It is not a tinted white wine with generic herbs: the oxidative soul of Jerez and the sweetness of PX define a vermouth with genuine sherry pedigree, elegant enough for solo service and structured enough for classic cocktails. The 'Rojo Mozárabe' reference anchors Xeranthia's range in Andalusian identity.
Nose and palate
Pending evaluation.
How to serve it
Between 12 and 16 °C solo, or with ice and orange peel. An elegant, sophisticated aperitivo that rewards a wine glass rather than a tumbler drowned in soda. Works in a Manhattan or Negroni when you want Jerez oxidative depth in the modifier. Pairs with anchovies, ibérico ham, aged Manchego and conservas — the classic Jerez table. Serve without excessive ice to preserve the long finish of aged sherry on the palate.
Production context
Made in Jerez de la Frontera by Antonio José Bustillo Pérez. 15% vol., 75 cl. 'Rojo Mozárabe' reference within the Xeranthia range. Base wines: Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez; more than fifteen Andalusian botanicals including rosemary, thyme, coriander and artichoke. Information at xeranthia.com. For Vermutpedia, Xeranthia Rojo Mozárabe is award-winning Jerez vermouth with sherry-only base wine and Andalusian botanical tradition — a bottle that validates the category at international level.
