La Bota de Vermut Rojo Navazos
Overall impression
La Bota de Vermut Rojo Navazos is the red reference of Equipo Navazos' vermouth project (Jerez), conceived by Eduardo Ojeda as vermouth of sober sweetness and elegant bitterness with prominent citrus notes. Aromatised wine from young oloroso of noble Jerez origin; the line is sold in numbered La Bota editions —current reference La Bota 132, February 2025, 2,100 bottles— at stable 17.5% vol. The house defines it as clean and complex, radical and authentic, for palates seeking vermouth outside commercial standard. For Vermutpedia, it represents cult Jerez vermouth: oloroso base, precise botanicals and limited runs verifiable at equiponavazos.com.

How to serve it
Equipo Navazos recommends traditional consumption with ice and orange slice, or in a «delicious» Manhattan. Also in Negroni and Boulevardier when higher strength and oxidative character are wanted. Serve cold; moderate sweetness profile tolerates ice without cloying. Pairs with olives, nuts and Marco aperitivos; less mass bar vermouth than tasting piece for sherry aromatised wine enthusiasts.
Production context
Equipo Navazos makes La Bota de Vermut Rojo in Jerez de la Frontera: young Palomino oloroso in American butts, aromatisation under Eduardo Ojeda. Successive editions —La Bota 122, 132, etc.— maintain the same philosophy with variable numbering and bottling date. 17.5% vol., 75 cl. Sibling of the Dry Navazos dry white line. For Vermutpedia, La Bota de Vermut Rojo Navazos synthesises author limited-edition Jerez vermouth: oloroso, 17.5% vol. and sheet at equiponavazos.com.
