7 Mares Vermute is a Portuguese vermouth made by Rita Marques (winemaker) and Luís Antunes from dry and fortified wines, with natural infusions of spices, fruit extracts and oils, aromatic herbs and flowers according to Garrafeira Nacional. The name and image — created by António Quintas — draw on Portuguese maritime tradition; a product of Conceito Vinhos in the Douro.

Nose and palate

Golden amber in the glass. Star anise, cardamom, verbena and bergamot among the documented notes; fresh, light and exuberantly complex on the palate. The project sought freshness, lightness and profuse aromatic complexity through artisan techniques and rigorously natural ingredients.

How to serve it

As the producer suggests: neat or over ice, to appreciate the aromatic subtleties better. Alternatively, cucumber and a pinch of salt, or cocktails with ginger beer. Valid «before, during or after a meal». Glass bottle with Helix cork stopper.
