Poças Soberbo Vermouth is a special edition inspired by records and essences from the house's 1930s and 1940s, according to pocas.pt. White Port wine base with eighteen selected botanicals gathered on Poças quintas in the Douro Valley. Poças, independent DOC Douro and Port producer, seeks an original balance between Portuguese sweetness and bitterness. Gold Medal at Sommelier Wine Awards 2020.

Nose and palate

Unique combination of fruit, spice and fortified white grape note. The wine base is aromatised with vegetal essences and fruits typical of the region, gathered on the winery's estates. Deliberately balanced profile between Lusitanian sweetness and herbal bitterness; 18.55% vol. with ample body proper to white Port as base.

How to serve it

Aperitif with ice, spritz or classic cocktailery (Manhattan or Negroni adapted to the sweet-bitter profile). Edition of the Special Editions line alongside Poças Quinado.
