Arudi Vermouth di Torino Dry

Overall impression

Vermutpedia is re-evaluating the Italian catalogue; the Vermutpedia Score for this entry remains pending until the next tasting round. Arudi Vermouth di Torino Dry closes the Turin trilogy of the Bernardini/Vertosan project inspired by interwar liqueur houses. Produced in small batches, it stands out for the character ginger lends — lead botanical alongside absinthe and elderflower — and for an antique gold colour with copper rim evoking Turin's deeper atmosphere.

Nose and palate

Spiced aromas of ginger and elderflower fill the glass immediately, with a lightly oxidised wine note and background citrus. On the palate, strong olfactory correspondence: ginger dominates with elegance, while flowers and citrus sit in second plane and clean coriander and wormwood flower notes emerge. Good structure and persistence, with a sweet finish reminiscent of liquorice.

How to serve it

At 4–8 °C, excellent neat at aperitivo or with ice and lemon peel; also with a splash of gin. Ideal in dry Martini, dry Manhattan or cocktails requiring a dry vermouth with body.

Production context

Made under the Vermouth di Torino specification. 18% vol., 75 cl. Completes Rosso and Bianco in the Arudi Vermouth & Bitters range. Legal seat in Turin (Via Bertolotti, 7).
