Atxa Vermouth Rojo is the gateway to the vermouth line at Destilerías Acha, an Amurrio distillery with roots since 1831 and a family recipe recovered by Gabriel Acha. On Airén white wine from local bodegas and more than 30 botanicals — wormwood, gentian, cardamom, clove, hibiscus, chamomile, cinnamon, fennel — it is the young red of the range before Reserva Familia in barrel. 91 points Guía Peñín Vermut 2020; bronze International Spirits Competition London 2022.

How to serve it

Chilled neat, with soda or tonic; base for Negroni, Americano or Manhattan. Basque weekend vermouth style in a large glass.

Production context

Artisan production: botanical maceration, adjustment, sweetening and filtration. Botanicals macerated in spirit from the centenary alembic before blending with the base. 15% vol., 1 L. Atxa range: Blanco, Reserva Familia, Mango Atxa and Premium Naranja & Karpy.
