Vermut Rojo Cavall de Foc

Celler La Muntanya

Muro de Alcoy , España

Overall impression

Vermut Rojo Cavall de Foc is the red expression of the Cavall de Foc range from Celler La Muntanya (Muro de Alcoy / Setla de Nunyes, Alicante), the accessible Mediterranean line opposite the premium Saüc range. Per the winery's official vermouth tasting note, it is made with a balanced botanical selection led by wormwood, plus green orange peel, spicy angelica root, lemon verbena, cinnamon, walnut and hibiscus, infused by natural maceration. Matte white bottle labelled «Vermut de Minifundio». 15% vol., 75 cl (~€12 in the official shop). For Vermutpedia, it is Mariola's entry-level red: same celler as Saüc, without barrel ageing or the elder of the reserve range.
