Vermut Vermell Dos Perellons

Dos Perellons

Mallorca , España

Overall impression

Vermut Vermell Dos Perellons is the only vermouth from Dos Perellons (Mallorca), a family distillery founded in Llubí in 1882 and now based in Palma. Per the producer, it «recovers the spirit of the aperitif, conversation and sharing»: a sweet, cheerful and bright vermouth with an elegant, smooth maceration, meant to be drunk neat, on ice or with soda. It takes its name from the characteristic red colour the distillery has given it; the exact botanical formula is a house secret. Specialist press tastings have described it as an artisan cherry-coloured vermouth with bitter nuances and careful craftsmanship. 75 cl format. A single vermouth reference within a house focused on traditional Mallorcan liqueurs (herbes, palo, mesclat).

How to serve it

According to Dos Perellons, neat, on ice or with soda — an easy, improvised aperitif. Its sweet, bright profile suits the Mallorcan vermouth hour without overcomplicating service.

Production context

Artisan-made in Mallorca by Dos Perellons S.A. (fourth generation of the Perelló family; origins in 1882 with Jordi Perelló in Llubí). Malvasía wine base per specialist tasting references; botanical maceration not publicly detailed («secret formula»). 75 cl. The distillery does not publish ABV or herb list on its technical sheet. Catalog siblings include the house palo de Mallorca, herbes and mesclat, but this is the only documented vermouth reference.
