Overall impression

Perucchi Extra Dry is the very dry vermouth of the Badalonese house, direct heir to the 1876 recipe with more than twenty natural botanicals and barely residual sugar (1º Baumé). Conceived from the outset for classic cocktailery — the Dry Martini par excellence — it represents the opposite pole of semisweet Bianco within a range that shares natural ingredients, no preservatives or colourants, and the legacy of Augustus Perucchi as creator of Spain's first vermouth.

Nose and palate

White with greenish tones. Delicate, intense aroma, drier and more direct than the Bianco of the same house. On the palate it is fine and elegant, with a touch of red fruit, more bitter and with little sugar; the finish is powerful and long, with the same aromatic persistence that characterises Perucchi whites but in a dry, technical register, ideal for not sweetening a cocktail.

How to serve it

Very cold with ice, lemon peel and olive; or as an essential component in a Dry Martini, where its extra-dry profile and botanical bitterness balance gin without adding unnecessary sweetness.

Production context

Made in Badalona within the range alongside Gran Reserva, Bianco, Reserva and Il Giovane. Cork stopper from Alt Empordà and beechwood head from Osona. 15% vol., 1º Baumé. One of the few historic Spanish Extra Dry vermouths with uninterrupted continuity since the nineteenth century.
