Overall impression

Perucchi Reserva is the most accessible aged tier of the Badalonese house: one year in vats with the same recipe of more than fifty botanicals as Gran Reserva, but without the best seller's three years of solera. The winery presents it as «the new Reserva», for those seeking roundness without reaching Gran Reserva price. No preservatives or antioxidants; 1876 solera mothers.

Nose and palate

Classic house profile: herbal, spiced, with a dried-fruit background evoking oak and vegetal notes without Gran Reserva's golden intensity. On the palate it is balanced, with soft bitterness and round passage; the year in vat brings greater aromatic cohesion than Rojo, though without the spectacular depth of the three-year finish. An honest vermouth of moderate guard, faithful to historic Catalan style.

How to serve it

Aperitif with ice and orange slice; also in a Negroni of traditional Catalan profile, where semisweet and moderate bitterness balance gin and bitter without dominating. Works in HORECA channel and in households consuming vermouth by the litre.

Made in Badalona with Augustus Perucchi's formula and twelve months in vats within century-old soleras. 15% vol., 7º Baumé, 1 litre. Direct sibling of Gran Reserva in botanical recipe, distinct in ageing time.
