Overall impression

Perucchi Gran Reserva Selección Especial is the summit of Spain's first vermouth, created by Augustus Perucchi in 1876. It starts from Gran Reserva — three years in 9,000-litre soleras with mothers from 1876 and more than fifty natural botanicals without preservatives or colourants — and completes two additional years in ancient oak barrels used for brandy. Historic supplier to the Royal Household; emblem of Catalan vermouth tradition.

Nose and palate

Intense gold colour with ruby tones. Intense, delicate aroma: vegetal blend with oak and dried-fruit finishes, persistent and smooth. On the palate balanced, slightly bitter, very pleasant; exceptional and unique passage. Spectacular finish that authenticates Perucchi Gran Reserva.

How to serve it

Cocktail glass without ice, very cold; special occasions, premium Negroni or Manhattan. Also in Spritz with soda according to house recipes.

Production context

Made in Badalona with wines and mistelas from Empordà, Valencia and La Mancha. 15% vol., 7º Baumé, classic 1 L bottle with cork stopper from Alt Empordà and beechwood head from Osona. Summit of the range alongside standard Gran Reserva, Bianco, Extra Dry and Il Giovane.
