Superiore Rosso is the red summit of Bèrto: a blend of Barbera d'Asti DOCG and Cortese DOC with splendid brown colour without added caramel, the fruit of natural maturation. Artemisia, juniper, rhubarb, mint, liquorice and vanilla compose a Vermouth di Torino Superiore designed for high-level Negroni.

Nose and palate

Deep brown tone. Balsamic, spiced nose with herbaceous and slightly minty notes; elegant, long, structured palate, fine bitterness and integrated sweetness. Complex persistence that elevates any classic stir.

How to serve it

Neat over ice with orange, or in a 1:1:1 Negroni with gin and Bèrto bitter. Also in Manhattan with a soft whisky.

Production context

18% vol., 75 cl. Made in Asti by Distilleria Quaglia meeting the Superiore disciplinare with 100% Piedmont wines. No caramel colourant: the tone comes from long infusions and maturation. Summit of the Bèrto range alongside Superiore Bianco on Cortese DOC.
