Carmeleta Rosseta
Vermutpedia Score: 7.4/10
Overall impression
Carmeleta Rosseta is the most sensual vermouth in the range: cosmopolitan and contemporary, with infusion of strawberry extract, ginger, rose petals and Saigon cinnamon over a Mediterranean blend of Muscat, Macabeo, Malvasía and Planta Nova from Benicadell. 15% vol., 75 cl. For Vermutpedia, Rosseta extends Carmeleta's orange-tree universe into rosé territory — fruity, floral and spiced, with wormwood, artemisia and Cretan dittany providing the bitter backbone that keeps it vermouth rather than liqueur.
Nose and palate
Pale pink colour. Fresh and spiced fragrance: forest fruits, sour candy, fennel and thyme from the scrubland; bitter background of wormwood, artemisia and Cretan dittany. Easy and ample entry, slightly bitter and spiced finish. Strawberry, ginger, rose and Saigon cinnamon integrate with the Benicadell coupage in a profile the official sheet describes as fresh and fruity with an acidic candy finish. Compared with industrial rosé vermouths, Rosseta bets on author botanical selection and Valencian wine identity.
How to serve it
Serve very cold with ice; contemporary aperitivo or base for rosé spritz and fruity mixed drinks. A strawberry or orange twist enhances the forest fruit and rose character. Pairs with soft cheeses, berry desserts and light Valencian tapas. Works in spritz with prosecco or soda when a semisweet rosé with herbal bitter finish is wanted. Temperature between 6 and 10 °C in a wide glass or balloon.
