Overall impression

Dos Déus DIP (Fumat) is the extreme smoked vermouth of Priorat B&D Lab (Bellmunt del Priorat), inspired by Islay whisky and Tennessee bourbon. Named for the DIP, the infernal wolf of Camp de Tarragona mythology. A more diabolical and powerful profile than the house Origins Smoked.

Nose and palate

An intense nose with caramelised, smoky and iodine notes. On the palate liquorice root, cinnamon, candied pear and marked smoky and toasted notes; complex and pleasant. Long finish with smoke over a background of caramelised fruit.

How to serve it

Solo with large ice or in robust cocktails as a smoked substitute for classic red vermouth.

Production context

15% vol., 75 cl. Plants toasted with smoke from charcoal and organic peat (Scottish tradition), blended with Priorat wines and rested in new extra-toasted 200 L American barrels (bourbon method). Gran Oro Vinari 2021 — Best Innovative Vermouth; Oro Vinari 2021 — Best Cocktail Vermouth.
