Overall impression

Dos Déus Origins Red is the young red vermouth of Priorat B&D Lab (Bellmunt del Priorat), associated with Athena in the Origins range mythology. Fresher than the classic Jerez-aged line, it combines local grapes and forty herbs and spices — sandalwood, aloe vera, juniper — with six months maturation in Jerez wine and Priorat red wine barrels. Gran Oro Vinari and Girovi 2021; gold medal San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2021.

Nose and palate

Spiced nose: clove, nutmeg and notes of Jerez and Priorat wood. On the palate, gentian root and wormwood with aromatic herbs over a semisweet, voluminous sensation, high acidity and intermediate bitterness; clean finish.

How to serve it

With ice and grapefruit; Negroni, Manhattan with ginger beer or author cocktails such as the house "Negroni Coffee Sour".

Production context

Complex proprietary formula with natural proximity botanics. Sweetness from ageing in Jerez barrels and Priorat red wine. 15% vol., 75 cl. Priorat Lab operates from carrer Font Vella 13 in Bellmunt del Priorat, within the Catalan Priorat wine ecosystem.
