Overall impression

Archived sheet: hot vermouth (mulled wine) designed for consumption hot in a mug, not classic aperitivo vermouth. Excluded from Vermutpedia's published catalogue. Dos Déus Mulled Mediterranean is the Mediterranean hot vermouth of Priorat B&D Lab (Bellmunt del Priorat): a fusion of Nordic mulled wine with a dry, bitter vermouth base according to the house. 100% Mediterranean winter botanics — orange peel, vanilla, wormwood, nutmeg, raisins and toasted coffee — with maturation in oloroso barrels and maceration in demijohns. Vinari gold Best Innovative Vermouth 2020.

Nose and palate

Intense, bright red colour. Nose: cinnamon, orange, exuberant citrus and a chocolate background. Balanced palate between bitterness, sweetness and acidity; when heated, lemon peel, vanilla and clove emerge.

How to serve it

Hot in a mug: 45–60 seconds at 700 W in the microwave; serve with two coffee beans per Priorat Lab. Also taste by gradually warming to appreciate aromatic layers.

Production context

Made in Bellmunt del Priorat. 15% vol., 75 cl. Sibling: Mulled Nordic. Part of the innovative Dos Déus range alongside Estrelles, Origins and Reserva.
