Bellmunt del Priorat

Overall impression

Archived sheet: hot vermouth (mulled wine) designed for consumption hot in a mug, not classic aperitivo vermouth. Excluded from Vermutpedia's published catalogue. Dos Déus Mulled Nordic is the Nordic side of Priorat B&D Lab's hot vermouth (Bellmunt del Priorat): same mulled/Glüh philosophy on a vermouth base in Jerez soleras and sun macerations in demijohns, with alpine and spiced botanics. Vinari Innovation gold 2020 alongside Mediterranean.

Nose and palate

Balsamic and spiced nose: clove, cinnamon and subtle incense. Sweet, gentle, round and frank palate with bitterness that invites another sip; when heated acidity gains volume and harmonises with sweetness according to prioratlab.com.

How to serve it

Hot in winter: microwave 45–60 seconds at 700 W in a mug; two coffee beans as official accompaniment.

Production context

Made in Bellmunt del Priorat. 15% vol., 75 cl. Second mulled expression of Dos Déus; distinct from Mediterranean by its balsamic-Nordic profile.
