Martini Vibrante
Overall impression
Vermutpedia is re-evaluating the Italian catalogue; this entry's Vermutpedia Score remains pending until the new tasting round is complete. MARTINI Vibrante is Martini & Rossi's robust, refreshing alcohol-free aperitif: it captures the essence of the Italian lifestyle with vibrant, complex flavours without exceeding 0.5% vol. Made with selected dealcoholised wines and botanical infusion — artemisia and bergamot in the foreground — it offers a floral and bittersweet balance that invigorates the palate with sophistication. Martini directs it to those seeking animated connection and spontaneous moments while maintaining the brand's unmistakable aesthetics, but without alcohol. For Vermutpedia, Vibrante represents the citrus-bitter alcohol-free red vermouth of the Martini portfolio: more intense and vertical than Floreale, with spritz and tonic DNA, designed for terraces, aperitif bars and social consumption where ritual matters as much as proof.
Nose and palate
On the nose, Vibrante predominates bergamot with herbal, floral notes and the bitter trace of artemisia anchoring the profile in the vermouth family. Reddish-amber, lively appearance. On the palate it is vibrant — as the name indicates — citrus and with moderate bitterness: balance between floral notes and bittersweet that Martini describes as «floral and bittersweet». Light texture, no alcoholic warmth, with freshness inviting a long spritz. Bergamot adds citrus verticality; artemisia, herbaceous structure. Compared with Floreale — Roman chamomile, rounder and more floral — Vibrante is more assertive and bitter. Against alcoholic red vermouths, it obviously lacks ethyl body, but maintains the logic of service with tonic or soda. Medium persistence with refreshing bittersweet finish. A non-alcoholic aperitif for palates seeking bergamot, moderate bitterness and «rosso» profile without proof.
How to serve it
Martini recommends the Non-Alcoholic Vibrante Spritz: 75 ml Vibrante, 25 ml fresh grapefruit juice, 50 ml soda, ice and grapefruit slice. Also excellent with tonic, ice and grapefruit peel for direct service. The house associates Vibrante with spritz or tonic and stuzzichini, small plates and salty snacks on terrace or aperitif bar. Well chilled; ideal between 4 and 8 °C. Works in mocktails requiring citrus bitterness without alcohol. It does not replace a Negroni in intensity, but does the light red aperitif ritual. For Vermutpedia, MARTINI Vibrante is the citrus-bitter alcohol-free reference for Vibrante Spritz, tonic with grapefruit and social aperitif, with bergamot and artemisia documented at martini.com/products/martini-vibrante/.
Production context
Martini & Rossi makes Vibrante in Piedmont with selected dealcoholised wines and botanical infusion including artemisia and bergamot, per the official sheet. Marketed as non-alcoholic aperitif under 0.5% vol., 75 cl. Complements Floreale in the alcohol-free range: while Floreale bets on Roman chamomile and soft floral profile, Vibrante reinforces the citrus-bitter pole. Contains sulphites. For Vermutpedia, MARTINI Vibrante synthesises the historic brand's alcohol-free red aperitif: dealcoholised wine, bergamot, floral notes and bittersweet, spritz service and stuzzichini pairing documented on martini.com, maintaining the L'Aperitivo ritual for consumers avoiding alcohol.
