Overall impression

Yzaguirre Clásico Blanco is the luminous sibling of the reference red: same accessible aperitif spirit, litre format for sharing and production in El Morell with the Alpine method the bodega has maintained since 1884. Pale yellow in colour, it opts for aromatic herbs and spices with balsamic touches instead of the more spiced profile of the red. Ideal as a summery bar vermouth.

Nose and palate

Intense aroma of herbs and spices with particular aromatic structure; slight balsamic nuances on the nose. Fresh palate of soft intensity, very balanced, with vanilla and cinnamon at the centre. Less assertive than Clásico Rojo, more direct and refreshing.

How to serve it

The house recommends it as a daily aperitif: well chilled, two anchovy-stuffed olives, ice and orange slice. Also works neat with a citrus twist on the terrace.

Made at Bodegas Yzaguirre (El Morell, Tarragona) with selected white wine and proprietary botanical formula. 15% vol., 1 L. Part of the Clásica range alongside Rojo, the Reserva line and Dry and Herbal Vintage editions.
