Spritz

The spritz is a family of aperitifs with sparkling wine, a bitter or aromatised component and soda, served over ice.

There is no single recipe: it changes according to the bitter, amaro or vermouth used. Its structure seeks freshness, bubble and moderate bitterness, with a citrus slice as the usual finish.

A white or rosso vermouth can replace other aperitifs to create house versions. It is a light way to practise vermuteo, especially in warm weather.
