Overall impression

Bitter Rouge is the emblematic red of Antollini (Maison Aurian, Condom): hand-harvested Gascon red wine, fortified and aged in Armagnac barrels with house botanicals. Midpoint between classic vermouth and oxidised Gascon aperitivo.

Nose and palate

Nose of old pineau and matured wine; blackberry, redcurrant and prune with complex herbs. Generous, bitter palate with sweetness from matured wine and acidic red fruit. Exceptionally long finish, balanced between bitterness, fruit and complexity.

How to serve it

With ice, in Negroni or Manhattan, or as a light digestif aperitivo.
