Cinzano 1757 Bianco
Overall impression
Vermutpedia is re-evaluating the Italian catalogue; the Vermutpedia Score for this entry remains pending until the new tasting round is complete. Cinzano 1757 Bianco is the premium, numbered expression of Turinese white vermouth within the Bottega Cinzano 1757 range, launched in 2015 as a tribute to Giovanni Giacomo and Carlo Stefano Cinzano, who founded the house in 1757 — cinzano.com. Limited production versus the classic Cinzano Bianco line, with botanicals selected at peak ripeness and Vermouth di Torino profile. Fragrant, with peach, pear and linden blossom as distinctive notes. 16% vol., 1 litre. For Vermutpedia, it represents the premium tier of Cinzano white: more complex and aromatic than standard Bianco, intended for serious aperitivos, white spritz and delicate Martinis. Discontinued in some markets — Difford's R.I.P. — but still available through Italian channels — imbev.it. Distinct from anonymous industrial whites, it bets on Piedmontese tradition, edition numbering and nearly three centuries of vermouth heritage.
Nose and palate
On the nose, Cinzano 1757 Bianco shows a straw colour with green tones. It unfolds fruit — peach, pear — linden blossom, nutmeg and oregano in aromatic layers that recall Turinese liqueur tradition. On the palate the start is fruity; spices, herbaceous botanicals and a long, elegant bitter aftertaste emerge. The whole is fragrant, round and smooth, with semisweet sweetness balanced by wormwood bitterness. Silky texture, easy passage, persistent herbaceous finish. Compared with standard Cinzano Bianco — 15% vol., lighter, fresher profile — the 1757 Bianco is more aromatically dense with greater fruit-floral complexity. Against Carpano Bianco — 14.9% vol., cocoa, almond, perfumed style — the 1757 bets on linden, oregano and stone fruit in the Cinzano register. A premium white for palates seeking numbered Turinese vermouth with peach, pear and linden blossom, coherent with the «un assaggio di storia» philosophy of the 1757 range.
How to serve it
Cinzano 1757 Bianco is intended to be served alone over ice — a premium Turinese aperitivo that highlights fruity fragrance and herbaceous aftertaste. Also in white spritz, delicate Martini or mixed drinks where white vermouth with more body than classic Cinzano is sought. In an aperitif glass or highball with moderate ice; temperature between 12 and 15 °C. Works in author cocktail bars when aromatic complexity is valued over accessibility. Pairs with olives, soft cheeses, dried fruit and Mediterranean appetisers. For tasting, a white wine glass without ice allows appreciation of linden, nutmeg and oregano layers. It does not compete with extra-dry bar whites: it is a semisweet, fragrant aperitivo. 1 litre format, 16% vol. For Vermutpedia, Cinzano 1757 Bianco is the premium white reference of the 1757 range: ice, white spritz, delicate Martini and profile documented at cinzano.com and Italian channel imbev.it.
