Overall impression

Lodeiros Vento Red is an author vermouth made from moscatel mistela with artisan methods; the base wine naturally supplies practically all required sugars and alcohol, without artificial compounds. Each batch is macerated with selected botanicals and rests thirty days in oak barrel. The Vento range bets on consistency and regularity for hospitality and home consumption. 15% vol., 9° Baumé, 75 cl.

Nose and palate

Medium-depth ruby mahogany, bright. Medium-plus nose with wormwood, bitter orange peel and cinnamon, plus a balsamic touch and light oak toast. Smooth entry with balanced sweetness and classic bitterness; the mid-palate is spicy without harsh edges, showing bitter cocoa, dried herbs and soft wood. Medium-long finish, reliable for traditional vermouth service.

How to serve it

At 6–8 °C. Classic: over ice with an orange slice. Refreshing: mix with tonic 1:1, ice and a lemon slice or citrus peel twist.

Production context

Vento range from Bodegas Lodeiros (Santiago de Compostela): thirty days in oak barrel after artisan maceration. Complements traditional Lodeiros Red, Vento White and the 0% editions from the same winery.
