Overall impression

Lodeiros Red is an author vermouth made from moscatel mistela with artisan methods and maximum naturalness: the base wine naturally supplies most sugars and alcohol, without artificial compounds. Each batch is macerated with selected botanicals and refined for thirty days in oak barrel. Bets on naturalness, consistency and regularity for the same experience in every glass. Fifteen percent alcohol, 9° Baumé, 75 cl.

Nose and palate

Bright, clean mahogany. Fragrant, intense nose with predominant herbaceous notes of marjoram, sage and artemisia, accompanied by sweet hints of cinnamon and bitter orange. Round, consistent entry; balanced passage with spiced, herbaceous retronasal. Long finish where classic vermouth bitterness integrates with sweet and toasted notes from barrel ageing.

How to serve it

At 6–8 °C. Classic: neat over ice with an orange slice. Refreshing: mix with tonic 1:1, ice and a lemon slice or citrus peel twist.

Production context

Made at Vía Faraday 20, Santiago de Compostela. Thirty days in oak barrel after artisan botanical maceration. Range: traditional Red, White, Vento and 0% added-sugar editions.
